Cécile Barrère-Tricca is Executive Vice-President, in charge of Innovation and Economic Development, at IFPEN. She is a chemical engineer from the École Nationale Supérieure des ingénieurs (Ensiacet) holds a MSc in materials science from the INPT (France) and a PhD in polymer chemistry and physical chemistry from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI). Cécile joined IFPEN in 1998 as a research engineer in the “Catalysis, Biocatalysis and Separation”. In 2001, she became a project manager in the field of gas and smoke treatment before taking on a similar role in the field of advanced biofuels in 2006. In 2008, Cécile was appointed head of the “Process Design” Department and in 2010, head of the “Chemical Engineering and Technology” Department. In 2014, she was appointed Director of the “Physics and Analysis” Research Division. In 2017 became IFPEN-Lyon site director. She chaired the AXELERA “Chemistry-Environment” competitiveness cluster from 2019 to 2021. Since January 2023, she was Director of the Research and Innovation Business Unit “Chemistry for Industry” at IFPEN and in December 2024, she was appointed Executive Vice-President at IFPEN, in charge of Innovation and Economic Development.

Eric Delamaide, P.Eng. is reservoir engineer and EOR expert, currently General Manager of IFP Technologies (Canada) Inc. in Calgary as well as the Manager EOR, Americas for the EOR Alliance. Eric has a degree in chemical engineering from the School of Mines in Saint Etienne, and a Master in Petroleum Engineering from IFP School, both in France. Eric has been involved in various capacities in over 80 EOR projects including over 35 polymer floods. Eric has published over 80 papers on reservoir engineering and EOR and has served on multiple conference technical committees and workshops. He is the former chair of the SPE Distinguished Lecturers Committee and has received numerous awards including SPE Canada Service Award in 2018, the SPE Distinguished Member Award in 2019 and the “a Peer Apart” award from SPE in 2020.

Tristan Euzen, PhD., P.Geol. linkedin

Geoscience Manager of IFP Technologies (Canada) Inc.

Tristan Euzen holds a PhD in Earth Science from the University of Rennes (France) and is a Petroleum Geologist with over 30 years of research and consulting experience. From 1996 to 2007, his research at the Geology-Geochemistry Division of IFPEN focused on geological characterization and modeling workflows from basin to reservoir scales, using subsurface and outcrop data. Tristan joined IFP-Canada in 2007, where he managed geoscience research collaborations and consulting activities. For over a decade, most of his work was dedicated to investigating geological controls on the distribution of rock and fluid properties in unconventional plays, and their impact on productivity. Tristan is now consulting full time for the oil and gas industry, providing regional and local geological support for the exploration and development of unconventional and conventional resources. Tristan is also actively volunteering in conference committees and as a guest editor. He published and co-authored over 90 journal and conference papers and has received technical awards from the SEPM, AAPG, GeoConvention and SPE.
